RALPH HAMILTON JONES Ralph Hamilton Jones was born October 14, 1924 in Winnipeg, MB and died November 1, 2010 in Vancouver, BC. His time in between was productively spent, beginning with earning an electrical engineering degree from the University of Manitoba in 1949, and marrying his life long sweetheart Mary Margaret McVey (Peggy) that same year. The two raised their little family: Brian Ralph (Karen), Peter Victor (Donna), Andrew Wallace (Penny Wilson) and Margot Mary (Doug Irwin). As if this little brood didn't keep them busy enough, Ralph was also happily Guardian to his two nieces Robin and Jane McVey. He led a long and rewarding life, filled with laughter, love and labour (at Bell Canada in Toronto and Montreal). Ralph was a special man, loved and respected by all who knew him. Ralph will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by Peggy, their children and spouses, his sister Audrey, cousins, nieces and nephews and by his nine grandchildren Lauren, Eric, Natalie, Michael, Allison, Jaxon, Keegan, Mack and Annabel. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of Sunrise of Lynn Valley and Lion's Gate Hospital for the incredibly kind care they showed Ralph in his final days and months. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at Capilano Golf and Country Club, 420 Southborough Drive, West Vancouver, BC on Saturday, November 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Business Casual attire (no jeans). Over the course of the coming months similar celebrations will be held in Winnipeg and Toronto.
